Silk Road Music

Founded in 1998 by Alan Budd, Silk Road Music is an ongoing project using the “Silk Road” theme to explore music & western spirit. Silk Road Music is an independent group with a difference. Silk Road Music is Alberta based. We cater to cowboy & western spirit. Originally, we specialized in cowboy spirit & western roots music with a world flavour. However, over the years we have expanded and incorporate world music into the spirit of the west all with an Alberta flavour.

We are committed to giving you quality. We are able to connect with many independent singer-song writers around the world. We help you get the music products we feel are the best available. Our team, with their strong musical knowledge, will match your individual needs to the music.

We pride ourselves on giving expert advice in a pressure free environment. It’s about cowboy spirit. We are a resource for the music and arts community for Alberta and beyond.

Our goal is to provide music for learning about the Silk Road & Western Spirit. Our music is available from around the world. Our ability to expand the offerings will in part depend on the degree to which those participating in other Silk Road Projects and the materials may be willing to contribute to success.
