Tom Phillips and the Men of Constant Sorrow are eight members strong; Acoustic guitar/lead vocals, Accordion/vocals, Pedal Steel, Bass, Drums, Mandolin, Lead electric guitar, harmony vocals. At the core of the band is Tom Phillips. With the skill of an artisan and the soul of a street poet, Tom creates songs which range from hard core honky tonk to heart wrenching ballads. Tom Phillips and the Men of Constant Sorrow have 3 CDs of original material released along with one live recording which was released in 2004. Downtown Cowboy is their fifth CD.

Native Virginian Will White delivers straight-ahead instrumentals, sharp-edged original songs, and vigorous soulful singing. Byron Myhre is a renowned championship fiddler whose playing is ferocious, tasteful and slippery smooth. Dale Ulan hops the band up with his energetic, rockabilly-heavy bass, and Julie Kerr is an inspired and accomplished singer/songwriter whose enticing voice ranges from high and plaintive to sassy, low and sultry.

Released on the Stony Plain Records, The Gift is 15 songs representing material found on Ian Tyson’s albums and Ian & Sylvia recordings over more than 4 decades. The Gift is named after Ian Tyson’s song about western painter Charlie Russell.

With 27 albums to their credit, the Northern Cree are heroes in northern Communities of Alberta & Saskatchewan. The 15 members of the Northern Cree, all drummers and singers from Cree communities. Their recent album Long Winter Nights is up for best native American music album. They have received nominations for Rockin’ the Rez in 2002 and for Still Rezin’ in 2003. Northern Cree sing in Cree and English and have 27 albums to their credit. They have been together 22 years and are heroes in the home communities.
